Educational Talent Search is an outreach program of support, information, and educational guidance counseling funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Our goal is to assist youth in graduating from high school and continuing on to a college or university of their choice. Our days are filled with academic advisement, college campus tours, ACT workshops, cultural & family outings, career exploration activities, field trips, and many other action-packed tasks.
Educational Talent Search is a member of a larger family known nationally as TRiO programs. The programs provided by TRiO can be found in over 1,200 colleges, universities, and
other agencies in the United States. TRiO programs assist students in conquering not only economic difficulty,
but class, social and cultural barriers, as well. As such, our program primarily focuses on youth who either come from a low income background or who would potentially be a first generation college student. If you're a student in our target schools and have an interest in this program, we highly recommend that you fill out an application.
